Justyna Galant was born in Łódź. She studied at the Academy of Music in Łódź under Professor Janusz Grzelązka and Professor Kazimierz Gierżod receiving a diploma with distinction.

   
The pianist accomplished her first artistic achievements still in her school period, winning the 1st prize at the Young Pianists Competition, as well as the 1st level award at the Polish Nationwide Contemporary Music Festival and the Prize at the Szymanowski Competition in Lodz. The pianist is a laureate of the Milosz Magin International Piano Competition in Paris. In the same year she took part in the Concert of the Year in Warsaw dedicated to Witold Lutosławski. She was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and Art and the French Government.

She graduated from piano studies in Paris at the Ecole Normale de Musique under Professor Victoria Melki and received the diploma of this university with distinction. She also studied in Switzerland, at the Konservatorium für Musik und Theater in Bern, in piano class of Tomas Herbut and chamber music class of Erika Radermacher. She took part in many piano master classes, working under the direction of Tatiana Szebanowa, Halina Czerny-Stefańska and Rudolf Buchbinder.

Justyna Galant also performs in the piano duo with Filip Wojciechowski. The pianists recorded a CD from a concert in Berlin for the German label “Sachsische Tontrager” which, next to the works of JS Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, included Miłosz Magin’s Divertimento dedicated to both artists. The artist started the piano trio “Trio Galant”, which recorded a concert in Berlin album for the Polish company DUX. 

As a soloist and chamber musician, Justyna Galant gives concerts in Poland and abroad, i.a., in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Finland.  On the occasion of the Chopin Year, Justyna Galant performed a series of concerts in China and Japan, presenting the project “Chopin-New Paradigm”, covering the arrangement of Chopin works for three pianos. 

Justyna Galant conducts lively pedagogical activities. She works as a lecturer in the piano department of the Music University of Fryderyk Chopin in Bialystok. She is also the head of section at the K. Szymanowski State Music School Complex in Warsaw, and her students win top prizes at national and international piano competitions.
